Winnie (her official AKC registered name is Winnie of Bavaria Hills) is our guardian puppy. She lives with her mom and dad; Michaela and Tim in the twin cities. Michaela wrote the following about Winnie:
"Winnie is so sweet. She is pretty calm and spends most of her day laying on the couch looking out the window or laying on my feet under my desk. She is chill until someone is wrestling with her (dog or human) and then she gets feisty.
She is very much a cuddler, whether on the couch or in bed, she likes to snuggle in close.
She is super smart and learned to potty train in just a few days. I'm running out of dog puzzles that she can't figure out! She aims to please and is eager to learn new tricks. Winnie's hobbies include: long walks, playing in the snow, playing with other dogs, swimming, going to Home Depot/Lowes/Joann or even just going for a ride in the car. "

Winnie is a full AKC registered SCWT, and has passed her DNA tests (PLN, PxD, DM and MO) and is testing for hip dysplasia and eyes in May 2025. She is an offspring of sire and dam that were both tested for dysplasia & eyes, therefore we are confident she will pass these tests as well. When she passes her tests, she will be ready to be a 1st time mama to our future bundles of joy in Fall 2025.

Bear (aka Barney)

Bear (his official AKC registered name is Barney of Bavaria Hills) is also our guardian puppy. He is Ruby and Bacon's offspring from "The Simpsons" litter. He lives with his mom and dad; Terri and David in the twin cities. About Bear, Terri wrote the following:
"Potty trained completely at 4 months old. No Accidents! Things he loves: Getting his teeth brushed (only dog I've had that enjoys this. Bring out his tooth brush and he is there in a second!), car rides, looking through the living room window, watching squirrels, rabbits, birds, or just some leaves flying. Bear likes Golf on TV or any TV show with animals on it. Especially if they are cartoons. This last snow storm, our yard looked like we had a herd of cattle in our yard. Tracks everywhere from him running through the yard. I don't think there was an area missed.
Bear loves his walks, his little sister Izzy (rag doll kitten - he is very gentle with her), and his 13-year old SCWT brother Yogi, but competes for attention.
Bear started puppy classes at 10 weeks old and received his certificate at 4 months old. Obedience class 2 for 12 sessions and going on to achieve his Canine Good citizen Certification. He loves to learn and is eager to please. He knows commands (high fives, round the rosy, heal stay, sit, sit up, shake a paw, down and off) but has a stubborn streak at times. "

Bear (aka Barney) is a full registered AKC SCWT. He passed his PLN and DM tests when he was 6 weeks old, but the vet could not get enough blood for lab at that time to finish all the tests. So he is undergoing the rest of his DNA tests, as well as eyes test in May. Hip dysplasia is to be completed when a dog is 2 yrs old. However, since he is Ruby and Bacon's offspring, and they both have passed their hip and eyes tests, we are confident that Bear will also pass these tests.

Ruby (Retired)
Ruby (OFA CHIC# 184369) is OFA hip certified and has passed genetic DNA testings for PLN Marker to look for genetic condition of glomerular diseases that cause significant protein loss through a structure of the kidneys, and has normal copies of the genes associated with Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) susceptibility. She has her OFA CAER certification for being free of canine eye diseases from a licensed Ophthalmologist. . Ruby is a professional snuggler. She loves to sit on the couch and lean against us, and at bedtime, she would position herself so that her head is on our chest, belly or the crook of our neck. She can also be fiercely independent and most of all, loves sitting out in the yard in the spring and summer to bask in the sun. She is a GREAT scooter buddy, allowing us to go on long "run" each day (I'm not a runner, but between her and the scooter, we're golden!). She is goofy, playful, and a thoroughly sweet girl. Ruby is not just a breeding mama, she is our beloved pet and is family to us.

Ruby just had her last litter of puppies in February 2025. She will be 5 yo in 2025, but will be free to just be a loving companion after her puppies leave end of March 2025.

Bacon (Retired)
Bacon (OFA CHIC#199809), like Ruby, has his OFA hip certified, CAER Certification for his eyes, and DNA testing for free of PLN and DM diseases. He is smart, mild manner, loving, and beautiful. 2 things Bacon loves : The outdoors and his humans. Bacon has show like coat which he will pass on to his puppies. Bacon started his AKC S.T.A.R Puppy class at 9 weeks old, and as a graduate of AKC S.T.A.R program, he continued on to receiving his 1st AKC title of Canine Good Citizen, and his 2nd title of AKC FIT Dog. Needless to say he is very eager to learn, which will be a wonderful trait to pass on to his puppies. Playing with the puppies is his favorite pass time. He is always so gentle with those puppies and show real concerns when the puppies are crying. Unlike Ruby, Bacon is NOT a good scooter buddy. He prefers to walk than run, but will go on a long walk all day, any day! Bacon is our beloved pet and is family to us. He is a true GEM, and we are so proud to share his puppies with your family.

Bacon retired in January 2025. He is only going to be 3 in 2025.
